i'm timmy c pitschka and welcome to my photography website.

thank you to my dad for getting me started in photography. he demonstrated a keen eye for color and composition and had this beautiful fully manual Minolta SRT-101 35mm kicking around the house that i was completely intrigued with.

all the numbers and dials, the snap of the shutter and the velvety feel of the focus ring on its 50mm 1.4f had me begging to shoot and understand what it all meant.

i had to wait until i was 7 or 8 before he let me "drive" and i remember shooting birds and cars with Kodachrome 64. my first rolls back were blurry and mostly over-exposed, but i was determined to learn and eventually make a decent image!

these days, i just about always have a camera with me and enjoy shooting in natural light -
finding small details that others may have passed by, and capturing interesting oddities in towns and cities i visit.
